Eric Kenseth is a musician with over 20 years of playing experience and over 5 years of teaching experience with students of all ages and skill sets. An alumnus of Umass Amherst where he majored in Jazz Performance, Eric has played in famous concert venues (Symphony Hall, Mechanics Hall, Avery Fischer Hall, The Kennedy Center), performed with high-ranking ensembles (District Jazz Band, District Concert Band, All-State Concert Band, All-East Concert Band), and shared the stage with famous musical artists (Dave Brubeck, Randy Brecker, Wynton Marsalis). As an educator, Eric belives a well-rounded musician should possess four main qualities: Physicality, Literacy, Fluency, and Musicality. Physicality means technical ability, Literacy means reading ability, Fluency means stylistic familiarity, and Musicality means overall musicianship
