Pianist Giselle Liang was born in 1993 in China. She started to play the piano at the age of 7. From 2012 until 2016, she studied at the Jilin University Music Department (B.A) with Ms.Yan Zhang, and later with Mr. Songwen Li, Mr.Kevin Gan. Ms. Liang received her Bachelor’s degree in 2016. Liang came to Boston in 2016 for her Master’s Degree in piano performance at the Longy school of music and studied with Ms. Rieko Aizawa. Giselle continued her studies at New England Conservatory with Papadakis Konstions .
Giselle Liang has played a series of recitals in Boston, USA, and Changchun, China, during her Bachelor and Master degree studies. She was also awarded the third prize from The Hong Kong International Piano Competition and the third Prize from The Shanghai Piano Competition in contemporary musical style. Liang played at a master class with famous Chinese pianist Ms. Huiqiao Bao. In addition to being a piano soloist, Giselle Liang has been an active chamber musician and accompanist for instrumentalists and singers. Liang was also invited to The Cremona Chamber Music Festival in Italy as a piano accompanist.
Giselle is passionate about teaching piano and is experienced teaching young children from the most elementary levels. She helps her students learn the piano with a fun style that allows them to develop their musical skill and technique.
