Carter Fogg, B.M.

Carter Fogg is a violinist pursuing an MM in Music Performance at the Longy School of Music and was named the Maria Giustina Mastrangelo Brosio Memorial Scholar in 2024. He previously graduated with a BM in Music Performance from Miami University. As a performer, he has attended music festivals such as the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival. Additionally, Carter has experience performing in pit orchestras for musicals.

 

As a teacher, Carter taught private lessons at the Oxford Music Academy and group classes as a part of the Strings Initiative Program from 2022 to 2024.  Carter has also completed training in the Suzuki method. In his lessons, Carter strives to create a challenging and supportive environment for students to learn and grow. Carter has studied the teaching methods of a variety of violin pedagogues and methods such as Rolland, Zweig, Menuhin, Suzuki, and Dolflein, and uses concepts and resources from these methods to best fit the student’s interests and needs.
