Elenye Ghenatos-German
Pianist Elenye Ghenatos-German is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, with a master’s degree in piano performance, and is also a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Music. She has studied piano with Wha Kyung Byun and Dean Kramer, chamber music with Leonard Shure, and accompanying in french vocal repertoire with Margo Garrett. She has performed in masterclasses for Vladimir Krainev, Robert Weirich, Lazar Berman, David Golub, and Menahem Pressler.
She has been an administrative/artistic director and was on the piano faculty for two community music and arts schools with enrollments of over 200 students for ten years. She has been on the piano faculty for Camp Encore-Coda in Maine, and a staff accompanist at Whittier College and at New England Conservatory. Elenye has prepared students for college auditions, including one student who was a finalist in the Boston Symphony Orchestra Concerto Youth Competition.
Currently, she is an adjunct faculty member at the Cushing Academy. Ms. German has had private piano studios for over 20 years in Lexington and Townsend, Massachusetts. She enjoys introducing students to a variety of styles, which can include theatre, sacred, or pop in addition to classical music. Ms. German has raised five children and continues to teach private piano students in Townsend, Massachusetts.
